It’s the ice that so
fascinates you, with its colours veering from anthracite grey to a honey like yellow. Cascades
of coloured water, a game of chill and chance.
Norway doesn’t hide its treasures. You just have to want to find them.
Lipton, in this still wild country, especially in the winter, is just one major cascade amongst the
many others as yet unknown especially in the northern region. Three routes, of which two overhang,
offer you a spectacular climb, both physical and acrobatic.
No rocks or not much anyway, just bouquets of yellow / orange highly sculptured ice.
And it’s motivation that drives you. Motivation to explore the fjords and valleys. Motivation
to meet climbers from other horizons. Motivation to invent your journey, step by step. And the pleasure
of climbing such magical lines as the Lipton.
