A quick call to find a car.
Just a little patience while we get to right up into the Maurienne mountains. A group of mates
to work up the pressure, to spot us and help us find new ways to climb. And there you are, we’re
finally at one of the most beautiful spots in the Alps, at least (!): dozens of boulders scattered
around amongst the larch trees, under the watchful eye of the Haute-Maurienne glaciers. What more
can you ask for?
Well, perhaps just that it had better not snow this year so we can link a few more boulders… No,
sorry, not possible, never mind, come back next year!

Take the road in front of the Tourist Information Office. Proceed for 300 metres but don’t
use the Ecot car park road on the right, park up instead opposite on the left. The site is
part of the Vanoise National Park, so keep to the park rules...

you’re up at 1,800 metres.
